I really should stop trusting my brain
Two hours prior to writing this email, I had 1001 things to write about to you today, and I told myself the all-time grossing lie—"I'll remember later".
Well, I don't—or I didn't—whichever.
Actually, I remember that I wanted to write about personal branding, Cardi B, GTBank and time management, but I can't exactly remember how I structured my thoughts.
Yep—it's [bleep] annoying.
I should take notes. You should too. Stop trusting your brain to remember. It's like expecting Wizkid to remember you 'cos you shook his hand at his O2Arena concert. Crazy, yes?
Just before you . . . oh, I just remembered I wanted to talk about Passenger and how he writes his songs.
Anyways, before you say, "take your own advice" and throw it right back at me, I've been learning how to take notes. I've taken a lot of LinkedIn courses, some brand strategy workshops and had a lot of personal consultations in the past few weeks—and I took notes.
Best thing ever! To not have to trust your brain with that kind of responsibility. The feeling of opening that notebook and having everything rush back at you in a second is indescribeable.
It's like hold shit for a long time and finally pooing. Gawwwwwwwwd!!!
Avoid giving your brain constipations and settling for less information.
Ciao.
drops mic, walks out, runs back to pick up the mic
Don't say you'll record either. Fucking take notes!!! Use your phone if you've forgotten how to write.
Bye—for real, this time.
