Judge. Jury, defendant

Praise,

I have recently come to agree on something. I am under pressure—a lot of it. It's got a lot of other names, some you might be familiar with.

Dreams, visions, ambitions, goals, milestones, KPIs, strategies, positioning. I've run out of words. It's crazy the amount of things we want to achieve. "If your dreams don't scare you, they are not big enough", they say.

So, you want to have huge, big dreams. No! You pressure yourself to "think big".

What is big? Does it mean a scared, confused, imposter-syndrome-plagued Praise? Does it also mean motivation, diligence and discipline?

"Take a chill pill", they said—the exact same people that say "don't rest on your grind"

"Have time for family", they said, just like they did "no successful person is asleep at 5am"

"Build relationships", they clamoured, exactly like they shouted "time is money"

And you, Praise, probably. like me, get caught between the two sides.

Here's what I think.

You're the judge, jury and defendant. Your life is the case.

You are the law, the enforcer, and the citizen.

You are the House, and you're the speaker.

You are the Elected and the electorate.

You, my friend, are the country and its patriot.

Choose your "big".

Live in the moment or plan 25 years into the future. Grow in short term or build generational wealth. Build relationships or stay lonely.

What everyone says, even me, are suggestions—statements even. You are responsible for your actions.

And your actions are responsible for the way you feel.

My actions are responsible for the way I feel, and I am responsible for those actions.

So, Praise, what are you doing first?
